Track-focused GMA T.33 likely set for 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed

Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) will use the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, running from July 10-13 in the U.K., to present a new version of its T.33 supercar, the company announced on Monday.

Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) will unveil a new version of its T.33 supercar at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, scheduled for July 10-13 in the U.K., the company announced Monday.

While official details remain scarce, founder Gordon Murray has previously hinted at a track-focused variant in development.

In a podcast last December, Murray revealed that the third and final T.33 iteration will be a "tougher and more focused" S version. Unlike the track-only T.50s Niki Lauda, the T.33 S will remain street-legal while incorporating performance upgrades: increased downforce, sharper suspension tuning, and potentially more power.

The T.33 debuted in early 2022 as a successor to the T.50. Its Cosworth-developed 3.9-liter V-12 produces 608 hp in standard trim. A convertible variant, the T.33 Spider, followed in 2023.

Production will be limited to 100 units per body style, with the T.33 S likely receiving its own allocation. For context, the T.50s Niki Lauda is capped at just 25 units, alongside 100 standard T.50 examples.

This year's Goodwood theme, "The Winning Formula – Champions and Challengers," will celebrate Murray's six decades of automotive design. The event's iconic Central Feature sculpture will honor his legacy, which spans the McLaren F1 supercar, the legendary Brabham BT46B "Fan Car" from 1978, and multiple championship-winning McLaren F1 cars from 1987 to 1991.

"For 60 years, I have enjoyed the design and engineering challenge of pushing the boundaries of what's possible—be that in racing or road cars," Murray said. "The supercars that Gordon Murray Automotive builds today are inspired by every car I've designed, raced, and owned."
