(Photo by Robert Cianflone/Getty Images) The Brief Ford recalled certain Lincoln Navigator, Lincoln Nautilus, Lincoln Aviator and Explorer SUV models due to a software problem. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration officials say the affected SUVs could experience a loss of the rearview camera image and advanced driver assistance features.
Owners of the recalled vehicles can take them to their local dealership to receive free repairs. Ford has issued a new recall for 254,640 SUVs because of a software issue.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) officials explained in a March 19 recall notice that the problem could result in the loss of the vehicle's rearview camera image and some advanced driver assistance features.  What Ford SUVs were recalled?
Why you should care: The automaker’s recall covers certain 2022-2025 Lincoln Navigator, 2024-2025 Lincoln Nautilus, 2025 Lincoln Aviator and Explorer vehicles.
RELATED:   Ford recalls more than 410,000 vehicles; see affected models According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Image Processing Module A (IPMA) in the affected SUVs might "unexpectedly reset, resulting in loss of the rearview camera image and advanced driver assistance (ADAS) features, including pre-collision assist, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring."
